Neapolitan Pizza
Blistered, airy crust from the wood-fired oven — San Marzano tomato, fior di latte, prosciutto with rocket, mortadella with truffle, and a frutti di mare piled high with mussels, clams and a whole scampi.
Pula · Old Town · Since the first wood-fired oven

Authentic Neapolitan pizza and homemade pasta, served in a hidden garden courtyard behind the Temple of Augustus.
Our story
Tucked into a sun-dappled courtyard just steps from the Roman Forum, Amore is where Pula slows down. We fell in love with the simple, honest cooking of Naples — dough left to rise slowly, pasta rolled by hand each morning, tomatoes and olive oil that taste of the Mediterranean sun.
Everything here is made with care and a little theatre. Our pizzaiolo works the wood-fired oven until the crust blisters and puffs; in the back, fresh pappardelle and tagliatelle are cut, twisted into nests and left to rest. What arrives at your table is unhurried, generous and full of amore.
From our kitchen
A short menu that changes with the season and the market. Here is what our guests come back for.

Blistered, airy crust from the wood-fired oven — San Marzano tomato, fior di latte, prosciutto with rocket, mortadella with truffle, and a frutti di mare piled high with mussels, clams and a whole scampi.

Pappardelle with slow-cooked beef, tagliatelle with scampi and mussels, gnocchi with salmon — every strand rolled and cut by hand each morning.

Istrian and Italian wines, spritz and signature cocktails — the perfect prelude to dinner as the courtyard cools into evening.

Made by hand
There are no shortcuts to good pasta. Before the doors open, our kitchen is dusted white with flour — dough kneaded, rested, rolled and cut into ribbons of pappardelle and tagliatelle, then curled into little nests to dry.
It is slower, it is harder, and you can taste the difference in every bite: silky, tender and full of flavour, the way pasta was meant to be.
